Are you a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional looking to make a difference in the lives of older adults? Our team at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home Community is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join us as a Director of Nursing, overseeing our 16-bed dementia unit. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care
• Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Providing mentorship and support to nursing staff
• Collaborating with other departments to promote the best quality healthcare
• MDS experience preferred, but will train the right individual
• Our DON adjusts their work schedule to meet facility needs and alternate on-call responsibilities with the ADON

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in nursing leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for serving the elderly population. The Director of Nursing at Strawberry Point Lutheran Home Community must be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for our residents.

Pay: $80,000 - $85,000

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a current license in the state of Iowa
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
